DRIVING REVOLUTIONARY WASTE-TO-VALUE TECHNOLOGIES SINCE
living up to our own standards
As a company, we have set ourselves the highest standards for the quality of our products. Our facilities therefore not only comply with the basic requirements of agricultural production, but are also inherently designed to meet the hygiene standards of food production. In combination with the high benchmark of our quality management, we strive every day for the highest quality products for our customers.
TALKING ABOUT QUALITY...
“Quality” describes so many things and yet nothing. Especially in a business context, the term has increasingly evolved into a buzzword for marketing activities. For this reason, we would like to act proactively and demonstrate in a simple way what quality really means to us:
Our unique circular economy concept enables us to process highly nutritious food production residues. These micro- and macronutrients such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are also reflected in the raw materials we create. As a result, buyers of our products save on expensive additives in the manufacture of their finished products.
From a purely legal point of view, the breeding of insects is essentially agricultural farming, which can be equated, for example, with the keeping of traditional livestock. However, we set ourselves a higher bar. Through hygienisation, specially engineered drying and processing methods, as well as ongoing quality management, we ensure that our raw materials are free of contamination and have a long shelf life.
We work meticulously to develop all processes and metrics using proper, scientific methodology. This includes regular laboratory analysis of our input flows and products, but also the successive optimization of our processes on the basis of complete, logged process data, as well as close cooperation with NGOs for the development of reliable sustainability reports.
ACTIVELY SHAPING THE FUTURE
By substituting common raw materials such as fishmeal, palm oil or synthetic fertilizer, we are not only revolutionizing the way residues are upcycled, but also how new products are created. By substituting these more traditional raw materials with our sustainable alternatives, we are able to reduce the carbon footprint of the entire supply chain and contribute to the preservation of natural resources.
Not only are our raw materials good for our planet, they are also highly sought after by a variety of industries. The protein and lipids produced by our black soldier flies are a highly nutritious and sustainable alternative to traditional sources, making them a valuable addition to feed for livestock and pets. Our fertilizer is rich in nutrients, making it an excellent choice for organic farmers looking to improve soil health. And our larvae can be used as a protein source in aquaculture, helping to reduce the demand on wild fish stocks.
