Worldwide, food waste causes enormous CO₂ emissions - so much so that it would rank number three behind the USA and China if it were a country in its own right. In the EU alone, 87.6 million tons of food end up in the waste bin every year.
Until now, the majority of these organic residues have been incinerated or thermally recycled in biogas plants to generate energy and heat. REPLOID now offers an additional alternative in the form of an innovative upcycling process.
In our circular economy system, we efficiently recycle side streams from agriculture and the food industry - and transform them into high-quality proteins, fats and fertilizers. In this way, we preserve essential ingredients and transfer them back into the nutrient cycle.

Our insect products offer an innovative alternative for the animal feed and fertilizer industry. As basis for our production, we can flexibly utilize various input materials - from fruit and vegetable peelings, pomace and marc to harvest residues and dairy surpluses.
